Where there are cakes, there are always questions…
In the section below you will find some of the most commonly asked questions.
Where do I collect my order?
All collections are from Roath, Cardiff.
Full address will be provided after final payment.
What dietary requirements do you cater for?
All products are made with vegan friendly ingredients.
On request products can be made without added: Nuts, Gluten & Soya.
Please enquire for other specific allergies.
However all products contain lupins.
Due to the baking environment JayJayCakes products are not suitable for people with severe allergies.
How long in advamce should I place an order?
I would recommend ordering two weeks in advance for celebration cakes and cupcakes, two months for wedding cakes.
Three days is the minimum order period, but avaliability at such short notice can’t always be guaranteeded.
Can I send you other cakes/pictures for inspiration?
I am happy to have pictures and other cakes ideas sent to me via email or direct message.
Designs will not be exact copies of my own or other bakers products as every cake is bespoke.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. If not paid, your order will not proceed.
Do you accept international payments?
Unfortunately international payments cannot be accepted.
When and what time can i collect my order?
Your collection time will be agreed at the time your order is accepted.
Collection times will be from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm, as agreed.
How should i transport my cake?
We advise the following:
1. Make sure you hold the cake box from underneath when carrying.
2. Transport your cakes in the passenger footwell of the car.
3. Turn on the AC before and after collection to reduce risk of melting buttercream.
4. Drive slowly and carefully, avoid speed bumps and potholes.
How do I order a wedding cake?
Please send an enquiry through the enquiry page, and we will get back to you to organise the details.
Do you provide wedding cake samples?
We do not provide wedding cake samples, but cupcakes with the same flavours can be purchased.
Are all your products vegan?
All of our products are suitable for vegans, and are made in a vegan kitchen.
Due to manufacturing processes, some ingredients are labelled as “may contain” animal products.
Do you offer gluten free cakes?
Unfortunately, recently we decided to stop making any gluten free cakes or cakes made without added gluten.
How do I see your previously made cake designs?
If you would like to see my style and designs, please check out the gallery on this website or @jayjay_cakes on Instagram.
How can I pay for my order?
All payments are made via direct bank transfer, no other payment methods can be accepted.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be cancelled up to 72hrs before collection, but deposits will not be refunded.
Cancellations after this time will be completely non-refundable.
Do you offer delivery?
We do not offer delivery.
How will my cake be packaged?
All cakes and cupcake will come in a suitably sized box, with a lid including an allergen list and tips for transport and storage.
How should I store the cake?
All products should be kept in the fridge until ready for consumption. We recommend the cake is taken out of the fridge an hour before serving.
Once the cake is cut, keep in an airtight container in the fridge.
An additional recommendation would be to cover the exposed face of sponge with clingfilm.
Products can be kept up to 3 days.
Do you offer delivery?
We do not offer delivery.
How can i see or leave a review?
Our reviews can be seen through Google or on our Facebook page.
Additionally customer feedback is posted on our instgram story highlights.
We would appriciate any reviews you would like to give us be submitted to Google review.
